Construction Design Alliance of Ontario

The Construction & Design Alliance of Ontario (CDAO), formed in 2010, is a collaborative organization of 15 not-for-profit associations. The CDAO is a forum for discussions, development and advocacy for issues important to the design and construction industry as influenced by provincial government policy, legislation and regulation.

The CDAO works to provide municipal and provincial governments a collective forum to seek input and advice from stakeholders whose collective vision is to ensure Ontario is a province of livable, marketable, sustainable communities and to ensure that Ontario is a province known for its leading edge infrastructure and built environment projects. CDAO member organizations support fair and competitive tendering processes and proactive, planned investment in Ontario’s infrastructure.

By working together, CDAO members have sought to facilitate one unified industry voice. Some of the fundamental industry issues CDAO have been working with the provincial government are:

  • Government procurement policy

  • Long-term infrastructure planning

  • Environmental regulations & processes
